Oi Dog, Caterpillar conkers & Parents evening #LittleLoves

caterpillar conkers, life as our little family

As I pulled this post together on Thursday night I couldn’t help but smile. Having just returned from a really wonderful first parents evening of Year 1, I just felt so overwhelmed with pride. We both feel so proud of him, my mummy heart is filled to the brim. One of my favourite things to do on a Thursday is look back through my camera roll and remember all those little moments which may have slipped my mind, this week it is all about our gorgeous boy.

Right from the moment we switched off from work last Friday evening to writing up this post with my boy sat next to me snuggling in, it has been a really lovely week which I have to say is a little different to the week before. A weekend well spent brings a week of content couldn’t be further from the truth.

And here are this week’s little loves…

We have been reading Oi Frog and How Many Legs for a little while now and then at the weekend we stumbled across Oi Dog and couldn’t resist picking it up. Until we saw the book we didn’t realise that it is actually a follow on from Oi Frog.

We have now finished watching the series ‘National Treasure’. If truth be told I’m not sure how I feel about it or the ending. I don’t want to say too much in case I spoil it for those of you who haven’t yet seen it. Certainly thought provoking.

I said last week that I would try harder so feast your eyes on this little playlist, it was one we put together for a friends 40th that we celebrated at Manchester House…

Firstly it has to be little old Ralph, our caterpillar conker. Do pop over to Morgana’s website where my ‘how to craft a caterpillar conker’ post is featured. I think he needs a friend or two little loves crew…

And then…

Poppy Rose! I have never been a Gin drinker and then a bar opened local to where we live which predominantly sells Gin and so the rest is history! Although there is only one I can drink, Poppy’s Gin. I haven’t quite got the taste for a regular G&T as yet. These are the ingredients the bar makes the Poppy Rose with and so Mr H and I had a little try of putting together our own cocktail and it was delicious. I am already looking forward to one on Friday evening.

This week I have been head over heels in love with my new necklace and ring from the lovely people over at Happiness Boutique (and my new nails, one is leopard print!). When they asked me to choose a couple of pieces from their collection I couldn’t help but look at their rose gold pieces. I LOVE dainty jewellery and for a long time now I have loved to dress my hands with rings as much as my neck with pretty things. Do pop over to their site, they have such a beautiful collection of both dainty and statement pieces for everyone, they offer free delivery and best of all I have an offer code for you as well. And lastly…

Little old me is featured over on the Laura Ashley Blog this week, I absolutely love collaborating with this brand, one of my favourites and the fact that it’s a long term relationship really makes me so thankful for my online space. I’d love you to pop over and comment on the post if you would, that’s if you fancy a snoop *mwah*.

And lastly lastly…

We are off winter clothes and Christmas shopping on Saturday, we’re also going to enjoy a little family meal out and to watch the Trolls at the cinema that evening. I’m not sure who is more excited Lil G or me. We are heading to the Trafford Centre, so if you know of any good restaurants for us to eat then do let me know so that we don’t make a HUGE boo boo and choose the wrong place to eat.

And that’s a wrap. Have a great weekend little loves crew and see you over on Instagram.
