Woolly hats & Woodland walks…

life as our little family

We’ve just done a mammoth winter clothes shop for Lil G after having a little sort out of his wardrobe a few weeks ago. There are so many jumpers and bobble hats of his that I love so much, I only wish that we had picked them up in the bigger size. Often I find I love his hats more than my own so really it isn’t a bad idea. I love bobble hats and woolly jumpers, they are the perfect combination for a little woodland walk on our mummy and son days. Lil G isn’t a huge fan of big bulky winter coats and so a hat and jumper it is which is all you need for this time of year.

I love everything about Autumn. The colours, the sunshine, the light and lets not forget the fact that we can wrap up warm and most of all wear bobble hats. On Monday, which has been my only day off this half-term week we headed out to our local woodland area and I won’t lie it felt blooming lovely to be popping on our winter gear. Bobble hats and chelsea boots or should I say wellies in his case. My time with him just feels so precious at the moment, in the blink of an eye we are in our first half-term, Mr H joked the other night that it will be the start of Year 2 before we know it.

I’ve said this a few times but really, can someone build a time machine? I wanted to really enjoy the time we had together on Monday and so I let our gorgeous boy lead the way. He took great pleasure in planning our day out and choosing his own little outfit, which is just another sign that my gorgeous boy is growing up. Oh to have his wardrobe and a time machine.

This boy literally melts my heart. He loves nothing more than running through the woods, or scooting around the park and so I may have been on a little shopping spree for hats oh and jumpers, oh yes and lets not forget a scarf or two. Because, you know it is going to be that cold in a few weeks time. He’s growing out of all his little person bits & bobs, it’s ok to save them in a little box forever isn’t it. There are so many colourful hats around this season, who doesn’t love to shop for bobble hats? Here are a few of my favourite things from Skate Hut – perfect for a little autumn love…

Isn’t it heartbreaking when they grow out of their clothes so quickly?! I had a big sort out of the girls’ clothes last week and now need to do a big autumn/winter shop for them. As always your pictures are gorgeous and those bobble hats are awesome. Thank you so much for linking up to My Captured Moment hon xxx

Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of Autumn/Winter. I can deal with sunny crisp days, but hate the cold and rain. Our little girl did not fit in any of her clothes from last year either – we had to go out and buy her a whole new wardrobe (which we both secretly loved :-)). I completely agree with turning back time – our little one also started school this year and I cannot believe that the first half-term break is already over and done with! Slow down time!! #MyCapturedMoment

Aww I do hope the first half term went ok, this is Lil G’s 2nd school year so thankfully we all seem to be taking it in our stride much more.

  5. Oh I will take them all please! They are gorgeous – I love a bobble hat. My girls are in desperate need of some winter clothes!! #mycapturedmoment
