♥ An Ayurvedic Cleanse – HeyMonicaB breaks it all down for us in her easy-peasy style.  This really works!  It does for me.

♥ The most powerful way to protect your time . . . and your sanity. – Wow!  How poignant!

♥ Channelled message: You are the pattern breakers and also the pattern makers - This is so beautiful and inspiring to read.

♥ Grounding the Cardinal Cross – Love this!

♥ 5 Yoga Poses To Help You Live With Ease & Grace – They really can!

♥ Millet: A Forgotten Superfood – I LOVE millet!  It is similar to quinoa and is so easy to cook and digest.  It is one of the grains of choice for Spring according to Seasonal eating.  Here is one of my favorite recipes:  Lemon Asparagus Millet Risotto.  (It is also real good with peas instead of asparagus.)

♥ Rawkstar Chocolate Cashew Cookies – Fantastic raw chocolate cookies from my friend, Tess Masters.  You can cook on a low temperature in the oven if you don’t have a dehydrator.  Make them – you, your family and friends will think you are a Rawkstar!

♥ Stevia: Too Good to be True? – Nope!  It’s not TOO GOOD – it’s perfect.  This is the reason why I have been using stevia in my diet for several years.  I grow the plant in my garden and harvest from it. I also use NuNaturals and SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia in many of my dishes.  Ditch the processed sugar and incorporate this sweet little herb into your recipes – you’ll be pleasantly surprised.  Moderation, of course!

♥ The Truth About the 80-10-10 Diet – Great in depth article by Kimberly Snyder on the pros and cons of the 80-10-10 diet.  I have been the full spectrum of eating all raw to currently eating seasonally for my body type (raw and cooked alike- but mostly cooked now days) – I’m a Vata.  This is what works for me and I’m learning all the time. Listen to YOUR body and let it tell you what feels best.  Not what a book tells you or the popular trend.

♥ Fan Your Digestive Fire: Just Add Water – Brilliant!

♥ Vitamin D: How To Choose The Best One – Vitamin D deficiency is prominent in modern day society.  Get yours checked and use the right kind – D3.  I had my Vitamin D tested last week and mine was 65. Good!  Even though I work outside a lot, I still take mine daily just to be sure.  This is the kind I use: Premier Research Labs Liquid Vitamin D3.

♥ What story are you listening to? - My friend, Cynthia from Flourish Wellness shared this on her Facebook page yesterday.  Oh, how we all need awareness in this area.  It’s easy to get caught up in the mind chatter and forget where it is truly coming from.

♥ The Crossroads of Should and Must – This is a long read, but so well worth it!

♥ 3 Yoga Poses for a Daily Detox -  These are great poses to do everyday – I do!

♥ Why You Should Never Eat Tilapia - Yikes!  This information applies for any “farm raised” fish.  Always read your information label. If it says “farm raised” put it down.  Look for wild caught.

♥ Do Not Top Off – Ayurvedic wit and wisdom from HeyMonicaB.  Love this woman!

♥ Grain Free Blender Brownies – These were amazing!  One of the best black bean brownies I’ve come across with the healthiest ingredients.  I used Grade B Maple Syrup in place of the raw honey.  Full of protein without any of the guilt.  We loved them!

♥  RECIPE: Maple Dandelion Chips – This is BRILLIANT!  I am going out in the yard, harvesting and making these little crunchies tonight.  Thanks Kate!

♥ Is Your Food Emotionally Charged? – Wonderful insight to the deeper side of how food, emotions and more effect us overall.  I always suggest in my cooking classes to be in this awareness of our emotions and feelings when preparing and cutting up food.  Our energy goes into it at this point in the beginning and can effect the finished product.  We are such complex and beautifully designed beings.

♥ Cutting cords of attachment from the people that hold you back – Well said, Clare!

♥ What is the Quintessential Herb for the Female Reproductive System? – This is a potent female herb that I use in some of my tonic blends.  I love it!

♥ Ayurveda – Cycles of Shedding -  Cultivating the energy of Spring cleaning allows us to let go and release in so many ways in our lives, relationships, emotions, thoughts and more.  Cleanse away, babes!

♥ Top 10 Weight Loss Tips - Reset Your Fat Burners. These tips were the major factors and protocol in the Colorado Cleanse Detox that I did last month with great success.  #6 was new to me and I will give it a go at my lunch time meals from now on.  I love Dr. John Douillard!  I have been following his advice for quite some time now with pleasant results. I feel so much more grounded, balanced, and whole with incorporating Ayurveda and his practical/medical knowledge into my lifestyle.  Look into it if you haven’t already.  It just might change your life and health.

♥ Vedic Astrology April 2014 – Great insight!

♥ Preparing For What You Want – Wow!  Just WOW!  Take the 19 minutes and watch this – REALLY LISTEN TO THE WORDS deeply. This is the core of Law of Attraction compliments of Abraham-Hicks.  This segment helped me understand even deeper the importance of “the grid filling-in”.   A section of the video:  “We’re talking about preparing yourself vibrationally — which means you’ve got to get off the specifics and stay general, because as long as you’re talking about specifics, you’re going to activate things that don’t allow things to unfold smoothly.”  Apply the feelings to anything in your life and watch it unfold. Enjoy and feel your energy vibration soar while watching it. I will be taking this into every day living.

♥ Ground Yourself and Improve Wellness with Earthing – This practice has been around and used for thousands of years.  It just now has a name associated with it.  Grounding or Earthing.  Learn more about this simple application that does wonders for the body.  We are energetic beings and Nature is energetic too.  We can balance one another with this interaction and connection.  Enjoy!

♥ Lessons from Hiking: 5 Ways to Live with Less Stress and More Joy – Nature is the grandest teacher.   How we choose to learn is up to us.  Walking and hiking are some of my favorite ways to move my body and soul.  During these times I tap into more awareness with myself, my surroundings and life.  Listen to the whispers of the wind, she just might be telling you something important.

♥ Why the Importance of Meditation Isn’t What You Gain, but What You… – Great insight on the benefits of meditation.  Just sit down, close your eyes, relax however is best for you (sitting up, reclined, laying down – inside your home or outside in nature) and let it flow.  It’s not hard.  Just stop for at least 15 minutes a day and go within.  It has become a cherished part of my day to ZEN.

♥ How to Transform Negative Thoughts with Mindfulness Meditation – Here’s another meditation article that is even BETTER. Again, this is where getting out of our heads, our minds, away from distractions that we can see, feel, hear, sense these poopy thoughts rolling around in our heads.  Once you start noticing them, catching on to their gig and dance, you can  stop them in their tracks and re-direct the thoughts into more positive ones.  I’ve been working on YEARS of negative thoughts about myself and have come a long way.  Still more to go, but that’s part of the beauty of our individual journey – growth and self-worth.

♥ What’s this Pink in the Sink? – This is an eye opening post from Nearly Natural Momma about the pink residue in the sink or bath tub.  I have well water and had no idea.  I clean with DIY natural essential oil based cleaners and will be tackling this little pink monster more often knowing what it is now.  YIKES!

♥ GOT A CASE OF THE NOT ENOUGH’S?: HOW TO CREATE AN ABUNDANCE MINDSET – I think we all can use a reminder on this issue.  Love yourself just as you are right now. Be grateful for your life, just as it is now.

♥ 5 Addictive Types Of Stress + How To Kick The Habit – I totally agree with this article.  LET IT GO! When you do, there is such freedom and peace in ones life.

♥ One Minute Meditation – I’ve started doing this nasal breathing meditation and WOW! it does wonders at calming the mind, the central nervous system and bringing peace and clarity into awareness.  Give it a go!

♥ HAPPY Kapha Season! – It’s here!  Kapha season is in full bloom and I highly recommend you go on over to my girl, Monica B’s website to DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE KAPHA SEASONAL BLOOM HERE and learn more about how to transition gracefully into Spring with ease.  Monica put a seriously cool music playlist together to get your groove thing on and shake that booty.  Enjoy!

♥ Oil Cleansing for Balancing Skin - Great article on oil cleansing by Jenni Raincloud.  I’ve been using the oil cleansing method for over a year now and LOVE it.  My skin looks and feels great. It is economical and better than anything out on the market.  I add lavender, lemon, and frankincense essential oils to my mix.

♥ Try This Black Oil for Natural Teeth Whitening (It Really Works!) – This looks GREAT!  I can’t wait to try it.

♥ March Forecast 2014 – Astrological theme for March is COMMITMENT.  Where are you committed to letting things go?  Where are you committed to being open and receptive in life?  What are you willing to manifest and go after? A powerful month, indeed!

♥ When You Feel Down or Stuck: How to Effectively Be What You’re Not – This can be an effective tool when stuck in a rut, feeling funky or depressed.  I’ve done something similar at times and it does work.  It shifts the mindset and one can become more proactive in life and situations.

♥ A CALL TO ACTION: IT’S TIME TO LOVE YOUR BODY – Amen, sister Claire!  I totally agree!  I’ve been upping my self-care practice on several levels and this is one area that I have finally been “getting” with myself. I have been shifting my mindset around my body image and sending it more love, compassion and appreciation.   It has been freeing on many levels and I still have to catch those ugly thoughts that pop in, but I am LOVING myself more (bumps, scars, cellulite, the good bits, strengths, etc.) It’s ME and I love it!  Enjoy this read and be inspired to YOUR own amazing body.

♥ Pre-Order The Blender Girl Cookbook – Tess Masters AKA The Blender Girl is having her biggest giveaway event ever! From March 1st to April 11th Tess is offering 42 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS to celebrate the April 8th release of her new cookbook The Blender Girl. Every day there will be a winner!  I was fortunate to be one of Tess’ recipe tasters for the book and believe me, THIS IS ONE BOOK YOU WANT!  If you’re looking for easy healthy foods to include in your lifestyle (no matter how you eat) there is something for everyone.

♥ 10 Simple DIY Serums For Every Skin Type! – This is a great basic tutorial from Jenni Raincloud on how to create your own essential oil serum.  I’ve been using one for several months that I created using rose hip oil as a base along with frankincense, lavendar, lemon and carrot seed oil.  It is GREAT!  Have fun concocting your own blend for your skin.

♥ 6 Best Vegetables for Green Smoothies -  Great suggestions. I like mixing it up with beet greens, organic spinach, kale, swiss chard, herbs such as mint, cilantro, basil and weeds such as dandelion greens, chickweed and purslane.  Check out my Purslane – Superfood Weed and Smoothie Recipe.

♥ Countless Uses for Coconut Oil – The Simple, the Strange, and the Downright Odd – Fantastic article on the many beneficial ways to incorporate coconut oil into your beauty regimen, household cleaning, cooking and so much more.  I learned some new tricks and tips.  I ADORE coconut oil.

♥ The Power of Silence: 8 Ways It Will Improve Your Life – By practicing times of silence, it has been immensely helpful, healing, inspiring and brought clarity into my life on a deeper level.  I try to practice silence at least once a day – it is my self nurturing time and I find it so delicious and special.

♥ Raw Kale Ceasar Salad with Almond Crusted Paleo Chicken – This looks heavenly!  I think I’ll try it this weekend.  Thank you Linda Wagner for another beautiful recipe.

♥ Canola oil: The #1 Hidden Health Danger at the Prepared Food Bar -  Whenever I eat out (not often) and it happens to be at a Whole Foods bar, I always read the ingredient list of the prepared items and if I see “canola oil”, I sigh and keep moving on reading the next ingredient card till I find something that works for me.

♥ NEW MOON in Pisces March 1, 2014 – Astral insights from Mystic Mamma.  I’ve been feeling a lot of the shifts already.  Several lessons and gifts imparted.  Be patient, compassionate and gentle with yourselves (especially others).  Go with the flow and hang out with your Spirti/Soul for guidance along the way.

♥ How to Start a (Mostly) Raw Diet Without Shocking Your Taste Buds – A great article from Kimberly Snyder about how to transition and incorporate more raw foods into your diet without shocking your body or taste buds.

♥ How To Use Grounding To Deepen Your Connection To Earth, Yourself, and Others  – I couldn’t agree with this article MORE!  I have been wanting to write a post on this very subject – and I may just still yet. Enjoy!

♥ The Power of DIY Self-Care: A Directory of Recipes & Treatments – Some great DIY self-care recipes!  I am going to start a new notebook with sections that cater to hair, body, face, and shower/bath.  I’ve got a nice compilation of recipes that I make and use and always open to trying new ones.  The “tried and true” are kept in the notebook.  I do this with kitchen recipes.  I will try many, but the “winners” make it into the notebook for return visits on the menu plan.

♥ Homemade Coconut Flour – I do this all the time and this post shows you how to do it simply.  So easy to make and nothing goes to waste.  I love making my own coconut milk (and Scott loves it in his morning coffee). It is great to use in smoothies, tonics, desserts, soups and more.  The leftover flour is great for many recipes and I will sometimes add the leftover pulp from milk to the dog’s food bowls.  So good and healthy for them.

♥ New Moon Update 3-1-14 – The New Moon is always the time to reset our intentions and begin anew.

♥ Indulge your Chocolate Fantasies with Raw Cacao Powder – Jenny Travens from SuperFoodLiving.com has a great article on my beloved raw cacao.  You can read my article devoted to this friendly superfood The Difference Between CACAO and COCOA Powder.  Jenny has some great and FREE information about superfoods that I suggest you check out. I love learning more about the benefits of superfoods

♥ Ginger Detox Shot – Linda Wagner brings us another goodie! Oh, this is for the brave of heart!  It is intense, but OH SO WORTH IT!  The ingredients pack a powerful punch and act as an anti-inflammatory, anti-infective, antioxidant, lymph system cleanser and more.  I love doing these shots!

♥ I Was A Raw Vegan For More Than 3 Years Because I Was Insane – This is an interesting article.  I have to agree with the writer, Sami G, that we are all biochemically different and what works for me might not work for you and vice versa.  What works for us will be different at different stages in our life, our activity level, our emotional level, the seasons, etc. It varies day to day.  Appreciate, love, and enjoy every bite of your food.  The point is to have a healthy relationship with food.  Make the best choices for yourself and family and don’t fall into guilt, shame or unworthiness based on what others are doing.  Learn to be open, compassionate and non-judgmental of others – but especially with yourself.  Check out this article by Sami G : Speak Your Truth,  Forgive and Move On.

♥ The Helpfulness of Structure: An Un-Diet Update – Great article by Marlena Torres from Health Through Indulgence.  Enjoy!

♥ The Miracle of Lymph – Fantastic post by Dr. John Douillard regarding the lymphatic system, how it works, signs of a sluggish or stagnant lymph system and more.  I learned even more about this system in this article.  Check out my posts on ways to get your lymph system flowing again: Rebounding 101 and The correct way to skin brush.  Also, another reminder to reduce and  find healthy ways to manage stress in one’s life.

♥ You’ve ditched the pill…now you’re losing your hair?! - Fantastic article regarding hormone imbalance.  It could be due to coming off the Pill or stress, which affects our hormones and thyroid immensely.  I love the suggestions.  I include many of them in my own diet. I have experienced hormone imbalance and you can check out my post How I Have Been Balancing My Hormones – NATURALLY and my herbal Happy Hormone Tonic.

♥ Chocolate Mint Love Butter: Homemade Personal Lubricant Recipe – This is great!

♥ Health Benefits of Dates – I ADORE dates (especially medjool dates)!  Learn all the amazing health benefits of these sweet little gems.  Remember to eat in moderation though.  I eat 1 – 3 a day (mostly in smoothies and tonics).

♥ The Best and Worse: Protein and Nutrition Bars – Awesome article on what protein/energy bars are out on the market and what people might think are considered “good”, “healthy”,”clean”, etc.  You would be surprised once reading the ingredients.  Most are junk!!  If interested, check out my Raw Chocolate Protein Energy Bars.  It is what I make for my family and friends.  Scott and I eat them weekly.

Ghee in my Coffee?-   MonicaB has a great video showing why and how to add ghee to your coffee – HELLO Vata’s and Pitta’s.  I love adding ghee to my herbal tonics.  Learn more about ghee here.  Ghee ROCKS!!!  I think I prefer it over coconut oil.  Oh, I just said that out loud. I utilize both in my house and on my body.

♥ Great ExpectationsA topic that many of us can relate to.  Thank you Kimberley for sharing your thoughts and honesty.  By saying NO to things that don’t resonate with you, stretch you beyond measure, out of habit, etc. is the most self nurturing act of love.

via Mentor’s Channel

♥ The Covert Coffee Enema – I know I have talked about enemas here on the blog before and I especially like coffee enemas.  They are quite amazing.  Lauren at The Holy Kale did a smashing post on this “sshhh” topic.  This subject really needs more exposure to the masses who would benefit highly by it.  I know I have and still do when needed.

♥ Coconut Vanilla Chia Superfood Pudding + How to Get Started With Superfoods – Fantastic superfood article AND recipe by my girl, Linda Wagner!  I am a huge superfood fan too. I don’t go a day without using at least one in a meal.  Morning smoothies always have cacao nibs and fresh local bee pollen on top.   My daily herbal tonics always have hemp seeds in it.  Superfoods are nutrient dense and a little goes a long way on the full spectrum of health.  Check out my Energizing Strawberry Cream Chia Pudding.  Thanks for this informative post, Linda!

♥ Create Good Feng Shui in Your Kitchen – I apply fen shui in my house but especially in the kitchen. It really does make a difference!

♥ The Number One Ingredient to Avoid – Do you know what it is?  I thought I did and I was wrong.  The answer is one that I have dealt with in the past.  Don’t let it sabotage your healthy lifestyle.  It is supposed to be fun, intriguing, joyous and personal.

♥ Spirulina Sunflower Seed Pate/Spread – This simple pate/spread from The Wellness Warrior site is AMAZING!  I just made it and I am hooked.  I could sit and eat the whole thing – but I wouldn’t. Healthy ingredients packed with some superfoods – my kind of recipe.  Give it a go – you will be very pleased.

♥ Plasticity and the Power of Affirmations – Interesting perspective.

♥ How to Respond to Negative People Without Being Negative – I know we’ve all been there (and some still are).  I used to let other people and their negativity “wire me up”.  Then I learned to turn within and work on myself.  To come from a place of compassion.  To protect myself from their energies and let it go.  It makes experiencing anyone in life much more pleasurable and peaceful.   And, as always, you can say “Excuse me.”  and walk away from it.

♥ How to Gently Cleanse Your Pet’s Body of Toxins – I love this article from Dr. Karen Becker, holistic vet.  I have been reading and watching her videos for years.  I have learned so much how to take care of my furry loved ones safely.  I think you will find some real nuggets of wisdom and good advice here.   By using herbs, homeopathy and natural approaches, I have been able to turn around the blood work of my dogs (that had some high levels), forgo pain meds (homeopathy works wonders with no side effects), detox safely, avoid using toxic flea meds., improve their quality of health and more.  Just as we integrate these practices with ourselves, it can be applied to our pets.

♥ Hold Your Horses – Mercury Stations Retrograde – More Mercury retrograde insight that is full of awareness and guidance from Emily Trinkaus at Virgo Magic.  Retrogrades hold much learning and growth if we allow it.  By slowing down and being more aware from our hearts, much can be glimpsed that we wouldn’t have seen before.

♥ 7 Men’s Beauty Tips Guys Need to Know But Are Too Embarrassed to Ask For – Fantastic tips for those special men in our lives.  I like to “suggest” to Scott sometimes to let me rub coconut oil on his hands, feet, arms, etc. for a nice massage AND he’s getting some natural healing oils to heal his skin at the same time.  Also, TLC never hurts to heal too.  :)  I love the shaving cream recipe and will be making it for Scott.  I make our own toothpaste and most everything else – even deodorant.  These tips show your man just how much you care.

♥ Is Your Soul Trying To Guide You But You’re Just Not Listening? – What a fantastic article by Lissa Rankin!  I just wrote a post very similar that I will be sharing with you all next week.  This one is very dear to my heart.

♥ 20 Ways Sitting In Silence Can Completely Transform Your Life – This is WONDERFUL!  I so enjoy silence.  It didn’t used to be this way.  Once I embraced, no turning back. It is soul healing and has helped me in so many ways. I’ve gotten to know myself and like HER.  It has made me aware of so many things that I didn’t like and had the opportunity to change them for the better.  Simplicity has been one of the great lessons.  I don’t owe anything to anyone except myself.  I am FREE to make my own choices for ME.

♥ Mercury goes Retrograde February 6th-28th – Sorry, couldn’t help it!  One more.  Each one has such great insight though.  Wonderful insight from Mystic Mamma.  With more understanding of Mercury retrogrades now, I embrace them and enjoy the turning within and slowing down aspects.   Just go with the flow.

♥ Ayurvedic Fitness – I love John Douillard’s informative advice regarding holistic health through Ayurveda.  I love learning tips to enhance my body, performance and now exercise.  I am practicing nasal breathing ( I use it in yoga practice) currently with my walking/hiking regimen and it is going great.  Not getting as winded.  I am more focused, intune with my body/breathing/etc. Still getting a great cardio on the hills – have to stop once or twice (BIG hills) for a few seconds then I am back at it.  I’m enjoying the workouts more.  Totally fascinating.  Check out this post too:  Enjoy exercise every time.

♥ Suffering and Weight Loss – I can totally relate to Linda Wagner’s story here.  It is the reason I do what I do and the passion that is within me to share and help others also. Linda is an amazing coach and person.  Reach out to her for assistance and you will be guided beautifully.

♥ To thine own self be true – I love this excerpt from Carolyn Myss via Mystic Mamma.  So powerful and true!

♥ Trifecta!  All Three Dosha Menus – I ADORE Monica Bloom from HeyMonicaB.  This woman has spunk, sass, creativity and at the same time is compassionate, caring, loving and friendly.  My kind of girl!  She is my “go-to” for anything Ayurveda.  She keeps it simple, easy to understand and allows you to research, study and learn without being overwhelmed with the strictness of it all.  Her approach is flexible but with great results.  Get to know her and sign up for her newsletter.  Have an Ayurveda question?  Drop her a line.  She’s awesome.

♥ 4 money beliefs that limit your wealth — inside and out – Great Marie Forleo video featuring Kate Northrup!  I think we all have some type of misguided money beliefs that may be holding us back and this video and information can assist you in how to change them.

♥ Happy YEAR OF THE HORSE 2014: Astral Insights! -  Here’s to the Year of the Horse!  May you all run free and connect with your true selves.

♥ IS IT TIME FOR AN INNER CLEAN UP? – Well said Connie Chapman!  I just got off the phone with a long distance friend having this very conversation with her.  It always starts WITHIN us.  Connie has created a free 3 part Inner Transformation Video Training Series to support you with some of the key foundations in creating inner shifts.  Sign up now.

♥ How to Instantly Make Over $1,000 Gypset Style – Thank  you for sharing this wonderful insight Vienda Maria.  I’ve done this before and it really works.  I need to start doing it again.

♥ Too Wiped Out to Work Out? – Another great article by Dr. John Douillard regarding working out.  I’ve been applying this simple 12 minute routine to my walks (throwing in some sprints or fast paced walking) and on my Urban Rebounder trampoline routine (check out the video).  I will also do this with planks, kettle bell snatches, dancing to some funky music.  Whatever is fun for you.  I’ll even run around the back yard with the dogs (oops, watch the poop!) :)  You get the jist.  Take 12 minutes of your day, go have fun and get into shape.

♥ How to Combine Foods for Optimal Health – Great article by The Paleo Mama regarding food combining. I’ve practiced food combining for several years and it has made such a difference in my overall health, digestion and assimilation of nutrients.  It can be quite overwhelming with some of the information out there regarding it.  I just stick to the basics (outlined in article) and I do fine.  NO need for stress during our health journey.

♥ Letting It Go – This post from In Spaces Between came into my radar at a perfect time. I think it will for all of you.  Thank you divine Rachel for sharing this information.  Spot on!!  Letting go is difficult at first, but once you do it and see/feel the results WITHIN – it’s magical.  Keep doing it!  It clears out the old garbage so that your light can shine brighter, Soul sing louder, peace step into your life and so much more.  It’s an ongoing process that is so rewarding and worth it. Let it go, baby! Let it go!

♥ NEW MOON in AQUARIUS SuperMoon January 30th 2014 – Great insight from Mystic Mamma! Are you ready to move forward?
